Deskersise: how to stay fit at the office.

But fear not, we’ve found some sneaky ways to workout while you’re at work!
The office stroll
Walking is probably one of the most underrated forms of exercise. Try taking a stroll around the office every so often, you can walk to the printer, catch up with colleagues or stop sending lazy emails and walk to person you need to talk to
The wall sit
Wall sits are a classic, just stand up with back against the wall, bend the knees then slide your back down the wall until your thighs are parallel to the floor. Hold this position for 30-60 seconds, you can use this time to catch up with the latest news and gossip on your phone
The casual lean
Awkwardly waiting for a meeting to start? Nonchalantly work your upper arms by casually leaning against the nearest wall, supporting your body with your forearm only. Now lean into the wall until your upper arm almost touches then push back out. Repeat for 15 reps or until the meeting starts
The desk chair swivel
For those lucky enough to get swivel chair, use it to your advantage by sitting upright, hover your feet above the floor and with your fingers and thumb hold the edge of your desk. Now, use your core to swivel the chair from side to side. Try this for 15 rounds
Theres a lot to said about good posture and the hunch position does more harm than good. Avoid injury by sitting straight up in your chair and arranging your desk correctly. Place your screen at eye level and make sure your not straining yourself to reach your mouse and keyboard. Support your back by sitting right back with both feet on the floor
Staying hydrated is always important and sometimes, our bodies mistake thirst for hunger so its always handy to keep a bottle of water on your desk. Drinking regularly will also keep you alert and focussed, keeps the skin pure and taut, charges metabolism, purifies blood and keeps the joints lubricated
