#AdanolaRecipes: Sugar Free Granola

It is thought that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, kick starting our metabolism and helping us to avoid the elevenses mid-morning. But with a busy lifestyle it can be difficult to make time.

Try our sugar free granola out for size. Supermarket granolas can be full of sugar and unhealthy fats, so making your own ensures you exactly whats in your cereal.

170g each of: almonds, cashews, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and raisins

510g rolled oats

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

170g of unsweetened apple puree

43g melted coconut oil

Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

Combine all the dry ingredients into a bowl, adding the cinnamon. In a separate bowl, combine the apple sauce and coconut milk. Add this to the nuts and cinnamon and stir until all is well coated.

Transfer to a deep roasting tin and bake for 45 minutes, tossing every 10 minutes to ensure its evenly cooked.

Serve once cooled with anything you like. Here's a few suggestions below:

Yoghurt, raspberries and honey

Milk and blueberries

Add a handful to your morning fruit and vegetable smoothie for a sweet, substantial on the go breakfast.
