#AdanolaRecipes: How to make these delicious vegan brownies
Everyone deserves a sweet treat. If you are looking forward to a spot of baking this weekend, why not rustle up these Vegan Brownies?
There are no obscure ingredients in these babies, everything you can buy from your local supermarket.
3 heaped tablespoons cocoa powder
200g dairy free dark chocolate
180g golden caster sugar
pinch of sea salt
170g self raising flour
1 vanilla pod
230ml soya milk (preferably unsweetened and organic)
5 tablespoons sunflower oil
200g pecan nuts
Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Grease, and then line (with greaseproof paper) a square baking tin. Then begin by melting 150g of the chocolate over a pan of boiling water in a heatproof dish. Set this to one side to cool slightly.
Sieve the flour and cocoa powder into a bowl, then stir in the sugar and add the pinch of salt. Add the vanilla seeds by slicing the pod in half and scraping the contents into the bowl. Then add the milk, oil and melted chocolate until all is combined together.
Chop the remaining amount of chocolate and the pecans and add to the mix, keeping a handful of nuts for the top. Scrape the mixture into the baking tray and add the pecans on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes and allow to cool for 5 minutes before tucking in. (we like these with ice cream!)
